Some builds start small. This one started big.
Back in 2018, the Huff Construction team broke ground on a ground-up, design-build expansion of the Jelly Belly Warehouse in Fairfield, CA. At 106,000 square feet, the project called for a tilt-up structure built to support one of the most recognized names in candy manufacturing, and it started with a single, massive concrete slab pour.
14,000,000 Pounds of Concrete, One Pour
Over 3,550 yards of concrete went into this slab pour alone, adding up to roughly 14,000,000 pounds poured in a single, tightly coordinated effort. Pours of this scale take precise sequencing, the right crew, and zero room for error, and our team delivered exactly that.
A Design-Build Partnership Built on Trust
As the design-build contractor, Huff Construction worked closely with Jelly Belly from early planning through completion to deliver a facility built for their operational needs. We’re grateful Jelly Belly trusted us to bring their vision to life, and proud of the work our team and trade partners put into every phase of this project.
Looking Back
Projects like the Jelly Belly Warehouse expansion are a reminder of the scale Huff Construction is built to handle, from the first slab poured to the final walkthrough. To see the completed project and more, visit our dedicated Jelly Belly Project Page.
